Are you wanting to start waist hooping to begin or mix up your fitness regime? Would you like some insight on where to begin? Well, you've come to the right place.
Here are 3 steps to waist hooping . A newbie's quick guide to begin their hooping journey. Enjoy.
Here are a few tips that should benefit you greatly as you begin your hooping journey.
2. Begin Hooping
Below is a great explanation of how to waist hoop. This is very similar to how I instruct my students in class. Watch Kristin Benton of FXP® Hula Hoop® Fitness demonstrate how to hoop around your waist.
One thing I'd like to add is the fact that you may experience some burning or itching in your mid section as you get used to hooping. This is due to an increase in blood flow and should no longer be an issue with regular waist hooping. I've never met anyone who has, but bruising is possible as well. If this happens to you, be sure to take a break from hooping and heal before you hoop again. Bruising is a sign of injury and you should be careful not to hoop over any bruises.
3. Keep at it to see results
While you may need to work up to it at the beginning, it would benefit you greatly to work your way up to around 30 minutes (at the bare minimum) of waist hooping a day. This could be broken up to two 15 minute sessions or three 10 minute sessions.
Two Bonus Tips:
In summary, to succed with waist hooping you must select the proper hoop, begin hooping and keep going. Are you new to waist hooping and need some more pointers? Please feel free to leave a comment as this is a subject I love discussing.
